Dan Wulf for Griffin District 3 Let's get what we've been paying for!
I am passionate and committed to serve the needs of our community. Since 2022 I have served on the Downtown Council helping to make downtown Griffin a thriving and bustling community. Since 2024 I have served on the Mainstreet Program helping to keep the different branches of the city's programs working together to develop a safe and prosperous Griffin for everyone. Since 2025 I have served on the Griffin/Spalding Business and Tourism Association.
I aim to bring the same energy and passion to Griffin Board of Commissioners as your Commissioner candidate for District 3,
Let's get the service we've been paying for.

Representation
Commissioner Murray is renowned for being absent from commissioner meetings and workshops. In her 2nd term she has averaged being absent 19.2%* of the time. Absent and late jumps to 26.9%* and the attendance records since 2023 don't include tardiness.
Being absent or late occasionally isn't the issue as much as the quantity of time not participating. From what I have been told, there are very good and personal reasons that Mrs. Murray hasn't been able to attend, but district 3 needs to be represented more than she has been able this term.
By contrast Mayor Hollberg has never been late or missed a BOC meeting or workshop*! Commissioner Curtis has been Absent + Late 1.9%* of the time!
Commissioner | Total Meetings | Times Absent | Tardy | % time of Absent | % of the time Late and Absent |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Ward | 130 | 12 | 3 | 9.2% | 11.5% |
Curtis | 53 | 1 | 0 | 1.9% | 1.9% |
Murray | 130 | 25 | 10 | 19.2% | 26.9% |
Wright | 53 | 2 | 0 | 3.8% | 3.8% |
TInsley | 130 | 10 | 4 | 7.7% | 10.8% |
McCord | 130 | 16 | 4 | 12.3% | 15.4% |
Hollburg | 53 | 0 | 0 | 0% | 0% |

Safety
Griffin regularly ranks in most top ten lists of Criminally Dangerous Cities of Georgia! That needs attention!
Violent crime is the largest item on these lists against Griffin.
Having 3 Police Chiefs in 3 years, surely, hasn't helped!
Why is our current safety mission failing to remove us from these lists? How can we keep good leadership in our police department?
Supporting Businesses
Let's help businesses keep our city grand. Let's work with them instead of developing codes that railing against their signage. We want to keep our historical downtown area full of character and charm. The current signage codes are extra basic and don't actually do much to preserve the history of the downtown area or allow businesses to advertise themselves well. This is an easy change that just requires doing the work to complete.
Homelessness
Homelessness is a scary issue for our town to take on, but we have been presented with it some time ago and have yet to do anything of consequence.
We must alleviate the city of the inordinate amount of homelessness that has appeared and we must do so with the most human dignity and respect for those affected.
This must be a joint City/County/Private sector project!
Sustainability
The challenges presented to Griffin are great because this city is great!
We have history, good and bad, that define our past, that we can never run away from. We have an energy and a vibrancy that demands righteousness and a prosperous future.
We will only achieve our destiny as a gem of the south if we plot our course with sustainable goals. It requires present and passionate leadership and the entirety of the community to reach our goals.
It won't be overnight flash-in-the-pan quick fixes that get across the finish line. Our solutions must be heavily considered and researched.
I would like to help us get there, and I am asking for your help to do so!
