Who is Dan Wulf?

Personal Background

Dan Wulf
Dan Wulf

Currently, I co-own Wulfpack Games, a boardgame store in Downtown Griffin since 2022, with my amazing wife. We sell boardgames and host community events and meet-ups. I am a retired Engineer/Physicist that worked in Product Development. All that means is that I invented things for other people. I was Educated at Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta Georgia. I was awarded my Eagle Scout rank by BSA's Atlanta Area Council.

After opening our business we became involved with the Griffin+Spalding Chamber of Commerce and our perspective was opened to a lot of different challenges and connections Griffin and Spalding have to offer. This town has a history that runs deep. I was invited to attend the Downtown Council (DTC), whose mission is to make a Griffin where you belong. A private civic group that works with the City of Griffin to help make the Downtown area a destination worth visiting and driving business and economic growth to the surrounding city and county as a consequence of the downtown visibility.

After a year on the DTC I was approached to fill a seat on the Mainstreet Committee, a City of Griffin board that unifies several City and County Boards to work together and promote and develop Griffin's historic downtown area for the same goals that the DTC shares for promoting Downtown Griffin as a beacon to attract commerce and activity to all of Griffin and Spalding all while preserving our historic appeal. After a year of serving the board I was asked to Chair the Board, a request I was intimidated to accept, but my Boy Scout training kicked in and I accepted. This came with the added responsibility of serving on the Griffin/Spalding Business and Tourism Association.

Griffin/Spalding Business and Tourism Association is a board tasked with promoting Griffin as a place to businesses and visit as a destination. I have had the responsibility of serving on a board which oversees as state program that facilitates the distribution special hotel tax funds collected to promote both Griffin and Spalding as a destination to work and play.

During my time on all of these volunteer boards I have been exposed to many of the challenges and also the toolkits that we have at our disposal to handle those challenges. I seek to raise the economic standing of all of Griffin and Spalding while preserving the history and personality of both with sustainable action.
